Why the block size matters more than the price
A twelve-week block is a smaller bet. If life goes wrong — a rota change, an illness, a family month — you lose one session and roughly three thousand dollars, then start the next one. The damage is contained.
A six-month block is a bigger bet with a softer edge. You lose more if the whole term goes badly, but you have twice as long to absorb a bad six weeks without losing anything at all. A nurse who hits one rough patch per year is often better off at WGU precisely because the block is long enough to swallow it.
So the honest question is not which is cheaper. It is what your bad months look like — rare and severe, or frequent and mild.
Where each one is clearly better
